The Highline Schools Foundation awarded close to $69,000 in Excel and Impact grants this year. Foundation representatives made the rounds surprising and delighting staff with oversized checks. For the first time since late 2019, the Foundation is awarding Excel and Impact Grants (mostly) in person!
The Foundation received 50 grant applications. Forty-two grants from 22 schools were funded. Excel grants totaled $54,147.35, and two Impact grants totaled $14,555.72. These grants fund innovative, equitable, and engaging learning at all grade levels.
The Foundation’s Impact and Excel grant program supports classroom innovation and equity. Excel Grants provide up to $2,500 for projects that benefit a group, classroom or school. An Impact Grant provides up to $10,000 for a program that affects a large group of students.
